Doug Milbauer, the Director of the CBBIC, brings 35 years of entrepreneurship, sales, marketing and management experience, corporate executive experience across a broad spectrum of industries and most recently academic development and faculty experience to his new role. A first-generation non-traditional student and the first in his family to complete college, he has a deep understanding and appreciation for the TAMUCC student body. His knowledge and love for the Coastal Bend region began in the mid-1980’s when he started his second business in Corpus Christi. Building on the hard work and initiatives of his predecessors, his vision for the CBBIC is to encourage and foster entrepreneurship and venture creation in three main areas – TAMUCC students, TAMUCC faculty and the Coastal Bend communities. The CBBIC should be a university-wide and community-wide hub for innovation, connecting the people and resources from all stakeholder groups and encouraging interaction up and down the entrepreneurial food chain. Acting as an incubator and accelerator for ideas, the CBBIC can be a valued resource and community partner.
