West Oso High School students in the Summer Bridge Program toured the Costal Bend Business Innovation Center on June 19, 2013. They listened to a presentation given by Mr. Bill Cone, the director of CBBIC. Mr. Cone explained the how startup business is important to our economy and how CBBIC can help the startups with appropriate business incubation programs. They also had a chance to talk with some of the entrepreneurs about their spirit of entrepreneurship and innovative products. By providing opportunities for high school and collegiate students to communicate with entrepreneurs, the CBBIC hopes the experience will help motivate the students to develop their own entrepreneurship, which will ultimately benefit the state’s economy in the future.
