A series of six workshops that align with and fulfill industry supply-chain needs while strengthening the local economy.
The Coastal Bend Business Innovation Center (CBBIC) at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi (TAMU-CC), and Cheniere Energy, Inc.(Cheniere) have teamed up to facilitate a series of six workshops designed to assist innovative, local entrepreneurs in developing business models that align with and fulfill industry supply-chain needs while strengthening the local economy.
At the conclusion of the workshops, participants can apply for grant funds from Cheniere with awards ranging from up to $20,000.

Meet the Buyers is the ultimate opportunity for small businesses to connect and gain insight with procurement agents, government agencies, and prime contractors from several industry sectors seeking to expand or enhance their supply chain networks.
Prime Contractor Requirements – February 19, 2025
Prime Contractor Requirements provides small businesses with information and specific obligations that may be needed to participate with prime contractors, including issues such as the utilization of Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises on goal-oriented construction, professional services, and goods and services contracts.
Supplier Expectations – March 5, 2025
Supplier Expectations provides small businesses with a working knowledge of how to prepare for pre-bid requirements, good faith efforts, required participation documents, non-construction participation documents, and post-bid efforts.
Cost Estimating and Negotiating – March 19, 2025
Cost Estimating and Negotiating is a workshop opportunity to gain insight into the importance of getting the best price for a product or service, including gathering relevant data, analyzing costs, creating a budget, and discussing and agreeing on financial terms of a contract or participation with prime contractors.
Certifications, CEUs, and Training – April 2, 2025
A small business may enhance its ability to participate in contracts or major contracting opportunities by earning specific certifications and continuing education units or credits (CEUs), or through other beneficial training opportunities. This workshop will help identify some of the obligations that can enhance the value and capabilities of a small business.
Communicating Your Capabilities Statement – April 16, 2025
Communicating Your Capabilities Statement will help small businesses learn tips and essentials for creating a complete capability statement. Topics may include how to be concise, the use of preferred professional language, tailoring the statement to a particular audience, and the use of visual elements such as logos, branding images, infographics, and illustrations.
