Entrepreneurs may know about him from ABC’s show called “Shark Tank,” but what many did not realize was that Daymond John’s visit to Texas A&M University was a great opportunity for students and young entrepreneurs.
Before John discussed the “goal-setting mindset” on Oct. 8th, 2014, there was a free student forum that preceded the Distinguished Speaker Series. At this forum, John addressed high school and college students in an informal Q&A.
However, the Coastal Bend Business Innovation Center (Innovation Center) students were given a special opportunity at the event. Graduate Assistants at the Innovation Center were also given the opportunity to attend the VIP reception where they were able to meet John and network with other like-minded individuals, and was followed by his presentation. This opportunity was free to the students of the center.
