Juan Sebastian Garzon serves as a Program Manager for the Coastal Bend Business Innovation Center, part of Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi (TAMUCC).
Sebastian graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor's in Finance in Spring 2012 and earned a Master's in Business Administration in Fall 2013. He started as a volunteer at the Innovation Center in 2012, and advanced to the position of Business Coordinator. He is a certified coach for Wendy Kennedy Inc. and a certified business advisor for GrowthWheel. Sebastian led the translation of GrowthWheel’s workbook Spanish version.
An NBIA member since 2014, he plans on completing the NBIA’s incubator management certificate program by September 2015. Sebastian was instrumental with a Department of State initiative in Corpus Christi called the Idea Incubator Program to help established companies from the Pacific Alliance countries of Colombia, Mexico, Peru and Chile learn about advanced manufacturing technique and how to do business in the U.S. He is actively involved with the Young Business Professionals of the Coastal Bend, which has over 500 members in Corpus Christi.
Sebastian assists with facility management and financials for the Innovation Center. He serves as subject matter expert for Innovation Center technology platforms including Salesforce, Dropbox, and Trello and is responsible for management, maintenance, and revision of each. He is also responsible for Innovation Center marketing efforts which includes the use of HootSuite and Google Analytics as social media and website management tools.
